Prayer of Confession
“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
1 John 1:8-9 NKJV
Lord, forgive me of my sins. I am unworthy of even a drop of grace, but You pour grace upon Your servant whom You love. Cleanse me O LORD from all unrighteousness. Teach me to walk in Your statutes and lead me in the way everlasting. This heart of mine is so quick to sin, but Your lavish love makes me desire not to. Bind my wandering heart like a fetter to Yours. Help me to walk worthy of the robe of righteousness Christ Himself gave to a sinner like me after paying the debt for all sin, even my sin. No words can describe the gratitude I feel. Thank You LORD for Your justice and Your faithfulness! Amen.
